AstraZeneca has stepped in to support CALL going into 2011, with a £6,000 donation.

The money will be used for core funding for CALL.
Karen Mercer, communications and development manager for CALL, commented: “We are so grateful to AstraZeneca for this vital funding, without which we would really struggle to offer our services in 2011.

“CALL supports people affected by cancer in Greater Manchester. Coping with the after effects of cancer can be just as hard as coping with the illness itself, and we want local people to know that we are here to help them through this difficult time.

“The donation from AstraZeneca will help us to recruit and train volunteers, let people know that CALL is here to help them, provide support groups and outings for people affected by cancer and support our volunteers and staff.”
Lynn Prime, UK Corporate Responsibility Manager at AstraZeneca, said: “We are really pleased to be able to give a donation to CALL and help make a meaningful difference to the lives of cancer patients.”
