At the end of August and with tears in our eyes the Being There team wished long serving colleague and employee Lynne Bezzina goodbye on her retirement.
Lynne began her nursing career in 1971 and was successful in gaining the RGN and RSCN in 1975. She remained in nursing until 1998. She became a volunteer with CALLplus in 1993 and took up the Volunteers Manager post in Trafford in November 1998.
Over 24 years Lynne has been steadfast in her support for staff, clients and volunteers alike making a hugely positive contribution to the charity’s mission of providing support for people with cancer and other life limiting illnesses.
The trustees and colleagues of Being There would like to thank Lynne and wish her all the very best for her retirement. Pictured here are some of the many activities and events Lynne was involved with. As you can see here she has outlasted Prime Ministers!
