Being There is delighted to announce a grant award of £279,540 over three years from The National Lottery Community Fund. This funding will support people with life limiting illnesses and their carers in Tameside, the Being Heard Counselling service and develop our partnership with Diversity Matters North West to further embed inclusion, diversity and equality in all that we do.
Chief Executive, Karen Mercer said: We are delighted that The National Lottery Community Fund has recognised our work in this way. Now, thanks to National Lottery players, we will be able to continue our work in Tameside, recruit and train more volunteers from diverse backgrounds to provide culturally appropriate support to people living with the impact of a life limiting illness as well as providing more person-centred counselling sessions.”
