International surgical solutions company Molnlycke Health Care has donated an amazing £750 to CALLplus as part of an employee charity nomination scheme. Molnlycke employee Susan Moran whose mother, Vera Rowe, has been supported by the Salford CALLPlus team nominated us for a donation as soon as the opportunity came up.
Sue presented the cheque on behalf of Molnlycke Health Care at the Salford ‘drop in’ on Wednesday 18th June. She said:
“I’d like to thank everyone here for looking after my mother Vera for 5 years now. CALLplus is wonderful and this group in Salford has been brilliant and that’s why I nominated you for this award.”
Sue garnered a huge round of applause for her kind words and as a ‘little bird’ had let slip her 60th birthday was approaching she was also treated to a rousing rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’.
CALLplus would like to say a huge thanks to Susan Moran and to Molnlycke Health Care for their generous donation.
If you work for a company that has a nomination or charity sponsorship scheme please put CALLplus forward. A donation such as this really makes a huge contribution to helping people cope with the emotional impact and practical effects of long-term illnesses.
