Following the retirement of our long-standing Chair, Being There is now looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join us as our next Chair of Trustees.

💙 About Us
At Being There, we provide emotional and practical support to people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families, friends and carers. From befriending and respite support to counselling and transport to appointments, we are there for people when they need it most.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to deliver a person-centred, inclusive service that truly understands and responds to individual needs — by listening, supporting, and being there.

👥 About the Role
As Chair of Trustees, you will provide leadership to our Board, help shape the strategic direction of the charity, and support our team to continue delivering impactful services within Salford, Trafford, Tameside and Manchester. This is a rewarding opportunity to use your skills and experience to make a meaningful difference in your community.
